No, cloverfield paradox was originally completely unrelated to cloverfield. It was called "god particle" or some shit like that. Parts of it were reshot to tie it in to make it part of cloverfield "franchase" to get at least someone to watch it, because original movie turned out to be a turd.

What about the thing that drops from the sky at the end which is from footage from before the film? That happens well in advance to the appearance of the monster in the city.

The problem with this retcon is you actually see the monster arrive in the background of the end scene of Cloverfield as it crashes into the sea in the back ground, which is way cooler imo

I actually kind of like the idea of the Cloverfield Paradox, and the whole 'Cloverfield universe" idea as well. So far I've enjoyed every film with the word Cloverfield in the title; they're the kind of mysterious, vaguely scifi films that I enjoy. 10 Cloverfield Lane was, in my opinon, at least 75% as good Cloverfield. So yeah I'm down for more Cloverfield movies coming out in the future. Not because I think that Cloverfield needs to be a series; but because at this point I think Abrams is trying to turn "Cloverfield" into the next Twillight Zone, and I actually really like that idea.

Cloverfield monster came from space... The end shows a meteor thing, "space egg," hiting the ocean a few days before the events of the movie. I hate this multiple dimensions "quantum something" scientific poor excuse for the happenings in the movies

Except the monster was already on the planet before this. The timing of it attacking syncs up but not of its first appearance

The cloverfield paradox wasn’t even a cloverfield movie at the beginning. Very late into port production they decided to make it a tie-in movie and did some additional shooting to make scenes which would connect the two movies.
