Isn't the monster in Cloverfield was waken up by a crashing satellite?

If you watch both movies at the same time, you'll be twice as bored and disappointed.

Chantal Finn

I don't remember any particle accelators in Cloverfield (2008)

Dana Sue Veach

No, cloverfield paradox was originally completely unrelated to cloverfield. It was called "god particle" or some shit like that. Parts of it were reshot to tie it in to make it part of cloverfield "franchase" to get at least someone to watch it, because original movie turned out to be a turd.

Amos Akinwale Ayoola

What about the thing that drops from the sky at the end which is from footage from before the film? That happens well in advance to the appearance of the monster in the city.

Elizabeth Hocog

I hated cloverfield... camera made me nauseous and it came across terrible to me

Jessica Turnage

The problem with this retcon is you actually see the monster arrive in the background of the end scene of Cloverfield as it crashes into the sea in the back ground, which is way cooler imo

Kenneth Marc Nuestro Bercida

Cloverfield paradox was such a bad movie

Lukas Lintner

The Cloverfield Paradox was pure garbage.

Ryan Sammis

I actually kind of like the idea of the Cloverfield Paradox, and the whole 'Cloverfield universe" idea as well. So far I've enjoyed every film with the word Cloverfield in the title; they're the kind of mysterious, vaguely scifi films that I enjoy. 10 Cloverfield Lane was, in my opinon, at least 75% as good Cloverfield. So yeah I'm down for more Cloverfield movies coming out in the future. Not because I think that Cloverfield needs to be a series; but because at this point I think Abrams is trying to turn "Cloverfield" into the next Twillight Zone, and I actually really like that idea.

Felixia Marie Santiago

Paradox is not that good but it has at least some connections with the first one, 10 Cloverfield Lane has Slusho!

Rosemary Mariam Yakubu

but i thought they had energy problems in the cloverfield paradox, whereas in cloverfield they're out partying and it seems that energy isn't a problem.

Sarah Guerra

Cloverfield monster came from space... The end shows a meteor thing, "space egg," hiting the ocean a few days before the events of the movie. I hate this multiple dimensions "quantum something" scientific poor excuse for the happenings in the movies

Ethan Belgard

Linking the two universes? Are you trying to say that's the only reason people think two movies titled Cloverfield are related..?

Johnny Gamboa

Shoutout to all the person who like cloverfield paradox !!! Lets meet ! Lets go eat smthing and talk about this movie. a table for three ?... ok a table for one.

Brenda Joiner

What about the middle film, "10 Cloverfield Lane"? That's part of it, according to the head shed.

Ammar Raza

Except the monster was already on the planet before this. The timing of it attacking syncs up but not of its first appearance

Abby Weatherford

Unpopular maybe, but Cloverfield (2008) didn't need a sequel or a tie-in. It was pretty cool in its own way!

Atm Humayun Kabir

The cloverfield paradox wasn’t even a cloverfield movie at the beginning. Very late into port production they decided to make it a tie-in movie and did some additional shooting to make scenes which would connect the two movies.

Renee Hodge

It's as if someone... wrote and edited it that way...
